Just for you
Tailored entirely to you and your pace.
Wu Taiji, Rooted Strength coaching, self-assertion and martial arts. In the studio, outdoors in nature or at your place.
In a private session all the time belongs to you. We work on whatever is happening in your life right now, whether you want to find calm and learn Wu Taiji, are at a turning point and looking for guidance, want to stand up for yourself more clearly or want to learn martial arts from scratch.
In the first session we look together at where you stand and what you need. After that, each session builds on the last, so step by step you feel yourself becoming more confident, in your body and in your everyday life.
What you don’t feel, you can’t stand up for. That is why we begin in the body.
Flowing movement that makes you calm and strong at the same time.
Wu Taiji, often called Tai Chi, is an internal martial art. In slow, flowing movements you find your balance, your breath and your centre, and your body becomes supple, upright and strong without having to exhaust yourself.
Because Taiji is a martial art, every movement also has an application. You learn to receive force and redirect it instead of pushing against it, and that is exactly what carries you in everyday life when things get loud around you.
I teach Wu Taiji one to one and in small groups. To the Wu Taiji small group
Guidance when you are at a turning point.
In coaching we combine conversation with work through the body. We look at what is moving you right now, what is holding you back and where you actually want to go, and then we use the body to test which decision feels right.
This way you find your way back into your strength step by step and make decisions that truly feel like yours. What you are looking for is already within you. I give you the space and the guidance, you walk the path yourself.
Standing up for yourself, with body, voice and clear boundaries.
You learn to sense difficult situations early, to carry yourself with confidence and to show your boundary clearly, with posture, gaze and voice. Most conflicts are decided before they become physical.
For emergencies we practise simple, effective techniques that still work under stress. In role play you try out what matters in everyday life, at work and in private.
I am a certified teacher of violence prevention and self-defence and have been teaching people of all ages for more than twenty years.
For groups I offer closed courses of 4, 6, 8 or 10 weeks, on request and tailored to your group.
Ask about a group courseClose-range martial art, with structure rather than strength.
WingChun is a close-range martial art that works with structure, sensitivity and timing rather than pure strength. That is why it suits everyone, including smaller and lighter people.
You learn to feel pressure, to yield and to act at the right moment. I teach everyone, whether you are just starting or already have experience.
Filipino martial art, trained with sticks.
Escrima comes from the Philippines and is trained with sticks. It sharpens reflexes, coordination and timing and is simply a joy to move with.
Because you train with sticks, you learn early to read distance and lines of attack, and that also strengthens your self defence without sticks.
You learn to stay with yourself, to perceive yourself and to recognise your needs. Posture, voice and boundaries follow from there.

Change needs repetition. That is why you book private sessions as a block, so your body stays with it and what you practise can settle.
